Almond -Orange Pound Cake
Almond Orange Pound cake.
100 grs. Chopped almonds
250 grs. unsalted butter
250 grs. sugar
3 teaspoons grated orange peel
3 eggs, lightly beaten
300 grs. flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
200 grs. Dried apricots
250 grs. orange juice
A little powdered sugar to decorate
1 .- Preheat the oven.
2 .- Grease and flour a round cake pan about 25 cm. de diámetro. in diameter.
3 .- Beat butter, sugar and orange zest until a creamy mixture.
4 .- Add the lightly beaten eggs one by one.
5 .- Add the sifted flour alternately with orange juice.
6 .- Add the minced apricots and almonds (slightly apricots Flour to prevent sticking together). Pour the mixture into the baking dish.
7 .- Bake until cake is golden and a toothpick to make this out clean.
8 .- Sprinkle the surface with powdered sugar.
